While the Sound Design Challenge is now running from Designing Sound, you can still volunteer in any way you can contact me…this page for example. ;)
I still believe that community involvement and discussion will make this event more valuable for all of us. As such, anyone can volunteer to judge…and I encourage you to do so.
Here are the pertinent details:
- It is preferred you be a member of the Vimeo group to volunteer, but not required.
- I’d like to avoid having the same judges in back to back Challenges.
- Once we see how many entries are posted for a given month’s challenge, I will contact all judges to figure out an appropriate amount of time for review of entries.
- The judges and I will select 5 finalists through internal voting.
- A judge may participate in the challenge, but not be nominated as a finalist.
- Lastly, I will retain the right to automatically select an entry for inclusion in the finalists. [This will only occur if I feel a particularly strong entry has been overlooked...in other words, extremely rare occasions. I'd rather this remain a community thing, but just in case... ;)]
