This site is dedicated to the field of audio for picture. Picture is a key word in that sentence, because there is a lot of commonality in audio across Film/Video, TV, Games, and Interactive Media. The purpose here is to highlight techniques, technical and aesthetic developments, theory…a wide range of topics devoted to audio in those industries. Audio is my profession, hobby and passion. I wanted a way to share and connect with that community that exists outside of my place of employment, and this is how I chose to do it.
The Sound Design Challenge has been moved to DesigningSound.org, but I’ll be keeping the archives from the earlier challenges preserved here for posterity.
